Enjoy this: after weeks of rain, it is finally nice summer weather in the Netherlands. Fortunately it is not too hot, but just sunny enough to go out without a jacket. I have no plans this summer vacation, because my booked vacation was of course canceled due to corona. That is why I have decided to take several long weekends off with the nice weather. This way I can optimally enjoy the nice weather and also relax. In this blog you can read what I want to do with these free, long weekends and what I have already done.
Cleaning up the garden
Before I can enjoy my garden in the sun, my garden had to be cleaned up first of course. Old stuff and dead plants were removed, new plants and cheerful flowers were planted and the lawn was neatly chipped and mowed. I also drove to the garden center and selected and ordered new garden furniture. Last weekend the time had come: our beautiful, new garden furniture was delivered! It has become a large, robust dining table with a long sofa and matching chairs. Here we can put enough friends and family members to give garden parties and dinner parties. In addition, we have purchased a lounge set, consisting of a comfortable lounge sofa with lovely fluffy cushions and a matching low coffee table. Furthermore, the two sun loungers complete the set. Time to relax!
The first evening BBQ
After all the furniture had been delivered, we had to use this garden upgrade right away! That is why we called a number of friends and invited them for a pleasant evening around the BBQ. And it was certainly fun! We had a delicious meal until we could no longer, so much food we had made. Fortunately, all the food fit on our new long dining table with ease. After dinner we stayed at the table for a while.
Later in the evening it started to cool down a bit. I therefore decided to put on my new Calvin Klein sweater and prepare the cushions on the lounge set. For my friends I also got a Balenciaga sweater men from the top, so that everyone was nice and warm. As the cherry on top, someone came up with the good idea to turn on the fire basket. What a top plan, because we have spent until the late hours in our new garden while enjoying delicious drinks and toasty marshmallows.
This will be a wonderful summer!
